260 - I took the Amtrack up the coast. The trip from San Francisco to Eugene was the longest - 14 hours. I woke up on the plane to the view of Mt. Shasta. Not too shabby.
261 - I convinced Kurt to take me out to Florence - to the beach. Always one of my favorite things to do. I wish Minnesota had an ocean...
262 - Rocky dog. He likes fetching. Fetching and swimming.
263 - Ah, Portland. I love you, Portland.
264 - Out to the Laurelhurst with Emily. Second run movies, beer and pizza on site, and tables in the theater. Excellent.
265 - A trip up the gorge. This is Multnomah Falls. (only 100 days left!)

256 - My first view of the Golden Gate Bridge... A bit foggy.
257 - So many sidewalk produce stands. Incredible produce and beautiful flowers were every where.
258 - Chris and Kaitlin hosted me on SF. We had an awesome day at Point Reyes and stopped in Sausalito on our way home so I could get some photos of the bridge.
259 - My friends live just south of the Mission. I spent a couple days wandering through the streets and alleys. The Mission is full of murals. Murals and taquerias. Oh, delicious taquerias.

I've been away. There should be an explosion of photos in the coming week. Oh, what a vacation. Truly a fantastic trip.

Sept 11th ceremony at the bandshell. Members of each branch of the military stood up in front to be recognized. 10 years. Wow.

Greeks

Spent the afternoon and evening with the Greeks at the Greek Festival. They had heaps of delicious food including lamb roasted on a spit. Greatness. They also had an amazing pastry that was like a beignet from New Orleans, but soaked in honey and topped off with cinnamon.
