My Aunt Michele drove all the way from Wyoming to Minnesota. She came by my place to see my house; she hadn't seen it yet. As a side note, I need to decide what pictures are going on the wall behind the couch...

I went shopping with Tracy - needed some jeans. I did, in fact, leave with a new pair, but also got a dress, skirt and snowpants. Now I'm ready for any situation.

10 miler

Saturday night. I had everything laid out, pinned my number on my shirt, and tied my timing chip on my shoe. I had a delicious pasta dinner and got to bed early. All in preparation for the big race day.

Perfect weather for the run. I finished. Now I hurt. This is my third year doing the race. I always do about the same, time wise. I'm going to have to buckle down this next year so I can reach my goal next year. And perhaps so I won't be as sore at the end of the day.

While I was gone, Minnesota's trees got some color. I drive around town and gawk at the brilliant yellows and reds just like I did in the spring with the flowering trees.

260 - I took the Amtrack up the coast. The trip from San Francisco to Eugene was the longest - 14 hours. I woke up on the plane to the view of Mt. Shasta. Not too shabby.
261 - I convinced Kurt to take me out to Florence - to the beach. Always one of my favorite things to do. I wish Minnesota had an ocean...
262 - Rocky dog. He likes fetching. Fetching and swimming.
263 - Ah, Portland. I love you, Portland.
264 - Out to the Laurelhurst with Emily. Second run movies, beer and pizza on site, and tables in the theater. Excellent.
265 - A trip up the gorge. This is Multnomah Falls. (only 100 days left!)
