I wore my boots today.  First time this season.  All the weather guys said the snow was coming and I dressed thinking I'd be outside all day covering snow.  Instead I ended up sweltering in a crowded gym shooting basketball.  These boots are toasty.

Leaving Belgrade

Drove two hours to Belgrade today for a story.  It was a tight turn, but a fun story.  I should have had Aristea take a picture of my frantic editing in the SAT truck, but I was too focused to think of anything else but the story.  Today was one of those days when I needed 15 more minutes to edit, 10 even.  10 minutes is forever.  But 10 o'clock comes at the same time everyday and the story has to get on TV.

This photo is on the two hour drive home after I demolished my emergency stash of trail mix and started breathing again.  Rocking out to Christmas tunes.

My reporter talked to the uncle at the door and I waited on the sidewalk.  Today a two year old died when his four year old brother found their father's handgun.
