Two good pieces of mail in one day!  Huzzah!  I got a book that I supported through kickstarter and my new camera strap all the way from Hong Kong.

Fair!  We love the fair!  Woo!  Fair!

Crane Cam!

The state fair!  I love the fair.  I get to run the crane camera for three newscasts in the afternoon.  It's the only time of year that that crane gets any use and I love playing with it.  My favorite part is not when my shots are on TV, but when I'm waiting.  I'll take the camera and swing it close to a fairgoer and then get closer and closer and closer.  Some people love it, most people are awkwardly tolerating it, some people uncomfortably tolerate it.  No one has gotten upset (so far), but that is to be expected in Minnesota because it's Minnesota and Minnesotans don't express their true feelings.

Fair! The Night Before

It begins!  I love the fair.  I'm going tomorrow and the next day, and the day after that plus three days next week.  I can taste that corn dog already.

Pizza Farm

I crossed the border and drove for an hour and a half to get pizza.  And it was worth it.

Wine and editing

Four photo shoots and two camping trips later and I have hundreds of photos to sift through and edit.  I'm not complaining, but I do need to figure out a better system.  I have vacation photos from 2011 I still I want to get to (Sorry, Kurt).

Outdoors weekend

A handmade wind chime acquired at the Mora Farmer's Market on the way to camp at Savanna Portage State Park.  A fabulous purchase that will hang somewhere in my house and make me happy.

Warm days and cool nights and less bugs.  August is great.  Fall is my favorite and it's just around the corner.

*side note: I have worn the same sweatshirt in 4 of the past 5 photos.  I just got it, and love it.  I have washed it.

Pants

I bought these pants sophomore year in high school on a trip to Oklahoma to watch a horse show (I used to show horses).  I haven't fit in them for a long time.  They sat in a box in my basement as an aspiration; a goal.
