Cloudy
365.118
What a cold, cloudy spring. Snow yesterday. More cold today. The sun finally came out this evening. I am completely ready for the flowers to bloom and the trees to leaf out. So, mother nature, you can get on that. I'm ready. In case you were waiting for me. I'm good. So get to it.

Rainy day
365.116
I used the rain as an excuse to lounge around the house and read my book instead of getting all the house work done. A perfect way to spend the last day of vacation.

109 - I drove through a snowstorm in southern Minnesota. It's April. The END of April. I'm just saying...
110 - Kansas City has tons of flowering trees. The redbuds were amazing. Perfect purple flowers all over the city.
111 - A trip down Route 66. From Tulsa to OKC, Kate and I saw the sights.
112 - A stormy afternoon in Tulsa? Unheard of. Sun to the north, storm clouds to the south.
113 - 'Bring your dog' night at the Drillers game. The baseball was good and the dogs were entertaining.
114 - Easter dinner with the Sinovics.
115 - And now I'm back.

Green

Had some time between live shots at the capitol to have my first 'sit on the grass' of the spring. Too bad it's going to snow tomorrow. Perhaps we'll get to claim 4th snowiest winter on record...

Remembering
365.106
University Ave is changing. The light rail is going in and the small businesses are struggling. Porky's is now a memory.
The Falls
365.105
Without St. Anthony Falls, Minneapolis wouldn't be here. Well, it might be someplace, but probably wouldn't be where it is now. The people who first came here used the falls to power the mills and the mills are what started the town.

First ballgame of the season followed closely by the second.
365.103
Left the ballpark at 10:30pm on Tuesday - a 10 inning game ending in a perfect hit to center field by Valencia to drive in the winning run. I arrived the next day at noon to watch my team lose 10-5. Disappointing, sure, but I've got no complaints. I was outside watching a ballgame at the best ballpark in the country.

Sushi and Souls
365.101
Ate sushi and saw Deepak Chopra with my Mom and sister. I am on a higher level of consciousness. Well, not yet. But I'll work on it.

Nook
365.100
Got the e-reader a couple weeks ago and am enjoying it. It's like an iPod but for books. And also like an iPod, it plays music, stores photos, and connects to the internet with a wi-fi signal. So it's essentially a whole library of books, but with distractions.
I hope to build a reading nook in my front window this summer. So I'll be able to read on the nook in the nook.

Biker gang
365.099
The most frightening gang of hooligans surrounded my house this morning. I locked the windows, barricaded the doors and pretended I wasn't home.

Sprouts!

Look what I found in my yard! I also found a beheaded, decaying squirrel, but I thought this was a more pleasant image.

I would like to title this photo: "How to organize a 30 page log for a project you've been shooting for the past year so you can write a kick ass news story, by Liz Collin."

Street Photography
365.091
I can compose a good photo. But sometimes my head gets in the way. I shot from the hip today, literally, and got a new perspective.
This was a throw-away, but black and white did something to it. And I don't think I'd like it if it were in focus.

Out

Thursday night happy hour. We found the best deal downtown and it's only a block away! The atmosphere isn't ideal, but the $2 craft beers make up for it.
